A hand-poured soy candle in an authentic Schaefer can from the 1970s. Clean-burning soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oil, 40-hour burn time. Scent: Sandalwood.

This label is sourced one at a time from the 1970s and ’80s. When it sells out, it’s gone for good.

This Candle’s History

Schaefer is one of America’s oldest beer brands, founded in 1842 in New York City by Prussian brothers Frederick and Maximilian Schaefer. They were among the first to brew lager in the United States, and the company long billed itself as America’s oldest lager.

After well over a century as a New York institution, the Schaefer brewing operation was absorbed by Stroh in 1981.
