A hand-poured soy candle in an authentic Labatt’s Special Lite can from the 1970s. Clean-burning soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oil, 40-hour burn time. Scent: Sandalwood.

This label is sourced one at a time from the 1970s and ’80s. When it sells out, it’s gone for good.

This Candle’s History

Labatt traces back to 1847 in London, Ontario, where Irish immigrant John Kinder Labatt went from farming to brewing with partner Samuel Eccles. The company grew into Canada’s largest brewer over the generations.

Special Lite was Labatt’s entry into the light-beer wave that swept North America in the 1970, which is the era your can comes from. Labatt is still going strong today, and handled independently in the U.S. since 2009
